In this role, Deveau will lead the credit union’s information technology and cybersecurity strategy, ensuring the continued safety, reliability, and innovation of systems that support both members and employees.

Deveau brings more than 22 years of experience within the Farm Credit System. He has experience in risk management and information technology, and a strong focus on IT and security leadership. He brings to Maine State Credit Union an understanding of financial services, regulatory environments, and the evolving technology landscape.

“We are excited to welcome Daryn to Maine State Credit Union,” said Stephen Wallace, president and CEO. “His experience in technology and security leadership, and strategic mindset, will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and invest in modern, secure digital solutions for our members.”

Originally from Maine, Deveau most recently spent more than a decade in Connecticut, where he broadened his professional perspective, expanded his network, and advanced his leadership in IT and cybersecurity.

“People speak highly of Maine State Credit Union,” said Deveau. “After meeting with Steve Wallace and his leadership team, it became clear this was an organization with strong leadership, excellent people, and a well-communicated, consistent strategy to remain relevant to those it serves. That’s something I wanted to be a part of.”

Deveau is a proud alumnus of the University of Maine system, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine at Fort Kent (2000) and a second Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine, Orono (2001). A lifelong learner with diverse professional interests, he also holds several Maine licenses—including the distinction of being a Certified General Appraiser and a Licensed Forester in the State of Maine.

Outside of work, Deveau enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly golfing, hunting, and fishing. He and his family also spend time in Halls Harbor, Nova Scotia, located along the Bay of Fundy.
