Boston Firefighters Credit Union is bringing in some serious digital firepower. The organization just named Elizabeth Adcock as its new Chief Digital & Information Officer—a role that’s all about steering the credit union into a more tech-savvy, member-focused future.
If you’re wondering why this matters, consider the timing. BFCU is in the middle of a major digital evolution, expanding its reach across Massachusetts while staying true to its core mission: serving first responders and their families. Enter Adcock, a technology executive with a track record of turning complex tech challenges into real-world wins.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Elizabeth as our Chief Digital & Information Officer,” said Danielle Milner, President & CEO of Boston Firefighters Credit Union. “She is the rare combination of strategic vision, digital expertise, and human-centered leadership. Paired with her deep commitment to bring greater innovation to first responders and their families, her service to BFCU is a huge win for our members and team.”
What She Brings to the Table
Adcock isn’t new to the credit union world. Most recently, she led technology operations as Chief Information Officer at MAC Federal Credit Union, where she spearheaded everything from cybersecurity initiatives to digital banking upgrades that actually got people to use them. (Getting members to adopt new tech is harder than it sounds, trust us.)
Before that, she held senior leadership positions across various financial services organizations, tackling the kind of heavy lifting that keeps tech folks up at night—modernizing core systems, leading large-scale digital transformations, and building teams that can execute on ambitious strategic goals.
Her expertise covers the full spectrum: digital banking, enterprise systems, data governance, and information security. She’s also academically loaded, holding an Executive MBA from Washington State University, a Master of Project Management from Penn State, and a Bachelor of Arts from Huntingdon College.
The Mission Ahead
“I am truly honored and excited to step into the role of Chief Digital & Information Officer at Boston Firefighters Credit Union,” Adcock said. “This opportunity allows me to support an organization that proudly serves first responders across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I look forward to advancing a forward-thinking digital and technology strategy, one that enhances the member experience, strengthens operational resilience, and positions the credit union for sustained growth and long-term success.”
As BFCU continues expanding its footprint and deepening its digital capabilities, Adcock will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team. Her job? Translate complicated tech speak into actionable strategies that improve member experiences, boost operational efficiency, and drive growth—all without losing sight of BFCU’s service-first DNA.
