Several Credit Unions Announce New Hires; The League Celebrates Inaugural Advocacy Ambassadors Graduating Cohort

Several credit unions, including Marshall Community Credit Union and First Capital Federal Credit Union, announced new additions to their organizations, and The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates recognized the inaugural graduating cohort of its Advocacy Ambassadors executive program.

New Hires:

• Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) is pleased to announce Amber Scales has joined the credit union as the Card Service Manager. In her role, Scales will lead the Card Services Department, overseeing debit and credit card operations and processing functions. She will drive continuous improvement within the department and serve as a subject matter expert on card-related products and fraud prevention. She will also be responsible for delivering exceptional member experience while ensuring compliance with card network rules, NCUA regulations, and MCCU policies and procedures.
• First Capital Federal Credit Union is pleased to welcome Christine Wilt as the new Community Engagement Coordinator. Christine brings a strong background in community outreach, relationship building, fundraising, and nonprofit work. In this role, she will help strengthen First Capital’s community connections while supporting the mission and initiatives of the FirstCap Gives Back Foundation.
• Curql Collective, LLC, announced two additions to its executive leadership team. Blake Woods joins as Vice President of Engagement & Growth and Amber Harsin joins as Vice President of Strategy & Innovation.
• The Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) is pleased to welcome Terry Weaver to the team as its new Executive Administrator.  Weaver brings more than 30 years of experience in program management, administration, event logistics, contract negotiation, budget management, and stakeholder coordination. Her extensive background provides a strong foundation for the Executive Administrator position and will be a valuable asset to DakCU.
• Global Credit Union is pleased to announce that Bill Bailey has joined the organization as Senior Vice President, Business Banking. In this role, Bailey will lead Global’s business banking strategy and the continued growth of its business member relationships, deposits, and loans.
• InFirst Federal Credit Union has appointed Lauren Black as Marketing Manager. Black will lead the credit union’s marketing strategy, brand development, communications, and community engagement efforts as InFirst works to expand its reach and strengthen relationships with members and the communities it serves.
• Greylock Federal Credit Union has announced the hiring of Senior Vice President, Retail Services, Sanjay Malhotra. Malhotra will be responsible for leading Greylock’s branch network, contact center, member-facing technology, and strategic retail initiatives. In this role he will provide enterprise-level leadership across deposit growth, member retention, direct lending support, and experience optimization.
• Workers Credit Union has strengthened its technology leadership team with the appointment of Rob Thacher as Senior Vice President of Technology and AI Innovation. Thacher will lead technology, software engineering, product development, intelligent automation, and AI engineering enablement. Before joining Workers Credit Union, he co-founded BankShift, a company focused on helping credit unions and community banks modernize technology to support embedded banking, branded banking, and loyalty use cases. He previously held senior technology leadership roles at Capital One and Fiserv and is best known for his work delivering CreditWise from concept to launch.
• Financial Plus Credit Union is strengthening its commitment to local businesses with the addition of two accomplished commercial banking leaders. Mike Doyle joins Financial Plus as Senior Vice President of Business Services, bringing more than 25 years across commercial and business banking, lending, credit, treasury management and financial services leadership. Tilly Williams joins as Director of Business Services Credit, with more than 30 years of experience in commercial credit, lending and credit leadership.

• The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates recognized the inaugural graduating cohort of its Advocacy Ambassadors executive program during Hike the Hill in Washington, D.C.Launched in March, Advocacy Ambassadors is a seven-month executive advocacy program designed to equip credit union leaders with the relationships, resources, and strategies needed to strengthen their advocacy efforts. Throughout the program, Ambassadors worked to deepen relationships of influence, leverage advocacy tools and resources, collaborate across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia, and develop actionable advocacy plans. Promotions:

• Curql Collective, LLC, announced a key internal promotion. Loriann Mancuso has been promoted to Director of Programs & Partnerships. In her expanded role, she will continue to lead the delivery of programs including Curql Accelerate and the organization’s growing calendar of events connecting fintech and credit unions, while deepening Curql’s engagement pipeline with credit union subscribers.
• Service One Credit Union has announced the promotion of Lucretia “Cree” Patrick to Human Resources Manager. Bringing years of human resources expertise to the role, Patrick will oversee daily HR operations, employee relations, and talent development across the credit union.
• Workers Credit Union has strengthened its technology leadership team with the expanded role of Glen Edwards as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Architecture and Digital Platforms. Edwards, who joined Workers Credit Union in 2020, will lead enterprise technology strategy, architecture, platform direction, and AI governance. He has played a key role in advancing the organization’s modernization efforts and aligning technology investments with long-term business priorities.

Appointments:

• At its Annual Meeting, held in conjunction with the corporate’s twelfth annual Credit Union Leadership Symposium, Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union announced the election of three board members. Carlos Pacheco, Chief Executive Officer of Meritrust Credit Union (Colorado), and Dan Stoltz, President and Chief Executive Officer of Blaze Credit Union (Minnesota), will once again serve Alloya’s members on Alloya’s Board of Directors. Joining them is April Clobes, President and Chief Executive Officer of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (Michigan), who most recently served on Alloya’s Supervisory Committee.
