Glia’s Prospect Snapshot Swaps Hours of Research for Seconds of Insight at Community Banks

Business bankers have a research problem.

Before they can have a useful conversation with a local company, they often have to dig through UCC filings, Secretary of State records, court documents and watchlists, then work out what it all adds up to. By the time the homework is done, the call may be a lot less likely to happen.

Glia, which bills itself as the #1 Banking AI platform, is aiming to fix that with a new tool called Prospect Snapshot. It’s built for community and regional financial institutions, and the setup is simple. Enter a business name and address. In seconds, you get a plain-English prospect profile covering potential financing needs, risk indicators and a recommended next step, with the evidence laid out behind each conclusion.

What’s inside the profile

Prospect Snapshot pulls several kinds of information into a single view:

  • Verified business information
  • Enriched contacts
  • Industry analysis
  • Secured-debt data
  • Risk indicators
  • Screening results

Then comes the part that separates it from a pile of data. Glia’s AI, built specifically for banking, interprets what it found and explains what it means for a potential business banking relationship.

That distinction matters to Justin DiPietro, Glia’s co-founder and chief strategy officer. “Business banking teams need to know which opportunities are worth their time and what to do next. But too many tools just give them more data to sort through,” he said. “Prospect Snapshot does the research and connects the dots, giving teams a much clearer picture of a potential customer before they pick up the phone.”

Why bankers care

The pitch comes down to time. Every hour not spent gathering records is an hour available for outreach and relationship-building. Jeffrey Butts, market president at Starion Bank, put it this way: “In business banking, an hour saved on manual research is an hour earned toward understanding our customers and building stronger relationships.”

He added that the tool delivers “structured, actionable intelligence in minutes instead of hours,” which sharpens preparation, helps the team anticipate business needs and makes for more meaningful conversations with local business leaders.

A step toward the front door

The launch also widens Glia’s Banking AI platform into commercial and business banking. The technology now reaches earlier in the relationship, before a business has become a customer at all. And since Prospect Snapshot is part of the existing platform, institutions don’t need to bolt on another standalone system to use it.

DiPietro framed it as a shift in purpose. “Banking AI shouldn’t just help institutions manage the relationships they already have. It should help them find and build new ones,” he said, adding that the goal is for teams to spend less time hunting for opportunities and more time turning them into growth.

What to watch next: whether more banks and credit unions bring AI into business development, and whether Glia pushes further into commercial banking with additional tools built on the same platform. Early adopters like Starion will likely show how much those saved hours translate into real conversations.
