Mark your calendars, credit union leaders—Alloya‘s bringing the band back together in Nashville this September.
The 12th annual Credit Union Leadership Symposium is set for September 9-11, 2026, at the Omni Nashville Hotel, and this year’s gathering has some extra significance: Alloya’s turning 15.
Think of it as part strategy session, part celebration, and part reunion tour. Credit union professionals from across the country will converge on Music City for three days of insights, connections, and conversations about where the movement is headed next.
“Our annual Symposium gives us time to look ahead while honoring what makes credit unions special—the Power of Cooperation,” explains Tim Bruculere, Alloya’s Senior Vice President of Membership. “Our member credit unions bring collaboration, community commitment, and innovation to everything they do. That’s the heart of this movement. We’re stronger together, and we’re excited to celebrate 15 years of partnership while learning from industry leaders. Plus, we’ll be sharing what’s on the horizon for Alloya members and showing how we support credit unions of every size.”
The Speaker Lineup Is Stacked
This year’s roster of speakers reads like an all-star team assembled to tackle the biggest challenges facing credit unions today:
- Josh Linkner, a globally recognized innovation expert, will kick things off with a keynote on making creativity less risky and more productive. He’ll show you how to unlock breakthrough thinking and build the confidence to take smart risks.
- Connie Podesta brings her expertise in human behavior and leadership psychology to deliver a talk that’ll stick with you long after you leave Nashville. She’ll equip you with tools to elevate your leadership game and take your credit union further.
- Elliot Eisenberg, an internationally acclaimed economist, will help you make sense of today’s economic landscape—because navigating uncertainty is easier when you’ve got a map.
- Mike Abrashoff, former U.S. Navy Commander, transformed one of the lowest-performing ships in the fleet into the top ship in the Pacific. He’ll share how revolutionizing your leadership approach can drive breakthrough performance.
- Phil Gwoke tackles one of the most relevant workplace challenges: leading across generations. His practical strategies will help you engage and motivate everyone on your team, regardless of age.
- Janine Stange, known as the National Anthem Girl, brings high energy and motivation to her breakout session on making momentum-building decisions.
- Byron Reese, an AI expert, will cut through the hype and give you a clear, empowering perspective on artificial intelligence and what it really means for credit unions moving forward.
It’s Not All Business
Sure, you’ll walk away with actionable insights and fresh strategies. But the Symposium has always been about connection, too. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to swap ideas with peers, build relationships, and maybe make a few friends along the way.
The networking kicks into high gear with an evening at Foundry Fieldhouse, complete with dinner and a live show at the legendary Grand Ole Opry. (Yes, that Grand Ole Opry.) And because some traditions are too good to change, Alloya’s Football Night returns—this time on Nashville’s Skydeck on Broadway. Expect good food, good company, and the kind of camaraderie that reminds you why this industry is special.
One More Thing
Alloya’s Board of Directors Annual Meeting happens during the Symposium on September 10, 2026, at 11:00 am CT. All credit union professionals are welcome to attend—no separate registration needed if you’re already signed up for the Leadership Symposium.
So whether you’re coming for the speakers, the networking, or the Grand Ole Opry (we won’t judge), Nashville’s ready for you this September. See you there.
