New Hires
- Suncoast Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Kunberger as the new Executive Director of Foundations. In this role, Kunberger will oversee the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation, furthering the credit union’s mission of enriching lives and serving communities.

His deep connections within the community and his commitment to corporate social responsibility enhance Citadel’s impact across Greater Philadelphia and to its members.
- Nook is expanding its offerings to include tech-enabled marketing strategy, automation, and execution solutions designed specifically for the financial services industry. As a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO), they help financial institutions streamline engagement, optimize growth, and build stronger member and customer relationships. Tiffany Niederwerfer will lead the new division and serve as President for the company. Tiffany has played a pivotal role in shaping Nook’s strategic vision and operational excellence as Chief Strategy Officer. Her leadership has been instrumental in aligning Nook’s mission with the evolving needs of credit unions, ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation in member engagement.

- Named one of South Florida Business Journal’s “Influential Business Women” of 2024, Biana Murnane is president and CEO of BrightStar Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in South Florida. A seasoned leader in financial services, Murnane has been with BrightStar for nearly three decades. She has been a catalyst for change and growth at the organization, overseeing everything from finances to overall operations. Thanks to Murnane’s strategic leadership, hard work and unwavering commitment, Brightstar has experienced tremendous growth with almost $1 billion in assets and over 61,000 members.
In Remembrance
- We’re saddened to share that former Coastal Credit Union board member William “Bill” Smith passed away on Sunday at the age of 92. Mr. Smith retired from Coastal’s board of directors in 2023 after an incredible 53 years of service to the credit union. During the majority of his tenure, Mr. Smith served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the board, with terms as Vice Chair and Chair.
