HRCU Recognizes 2025 Annual Scholarship Recipients

Local credit union presents 18 scholarships in 30th year of supporting student success.

Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) recently announced a record 18 recipients of its 2025 HRCU Annual Scholarship. The students, including one Spaulding High School (SHS) Banking and Financial Services program scholar, were awarded their scholarships at a ceremony at HRCU’s Rochester branch on Monday, June 16.

“Awarding some of our youngest and most deserving members has been a proud tradition dating back 30 years,” said HRCU President and CEO Brian Hughes. “We believe that investing in our youth is an investment in our community and our Annual Scholarship program is just one of the many ways in which we do that.”

The scholarships were presented to recipients in four award categories, including high school or college students, employee children and participants of the HRCU Banking and Financial Services Program at the R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center. To be eligible, applicants must be HRCU members and meet certain criteria. All applications were completed through a new online portal.

HRCU has awarded 296 scholarships totaling over $300,000 since the program’s inception. The 2026 scholarship application will be available online January 2026 at HRCU.org.
