NorthCountry Federal Credit Union just made a move that’s all about getting their tech stack to actually talk to each other. They’ve brought on Nook—a credit union service organization (CUSO) and Platinum HubSpot Solutions Partner—to handle their HubSpot implementation and wire up their core data in a way that actually makes sense.
Here’s what’s happening: Nook is rolling out HubSpot for NorthCountry while simultaneously building a secure, automated connection to their core system using Nook’s Data Connector. The interesting part? This proprietary setup lives directly inside the credit union’s own secure environment. No sketchy third-party middleware sitting in the middle, which means less risk of data ending up where it shouldn’t.
Unlike generic tech consultants who treat every financial institution the same, Nook built their approach specifically for credit unions. They’re focused on connecting the dots between technology, data, and actual execution—basically making sure all the moving parts work together instead of operating in silos.
“Credit unions need more than software. They need the right data foundation underneath it,” said Austin Wentzlaff, CEO of Nook. “We’re partnering with NorthCountry to build a forward-looking infrastructure that supports dynamic member engagement, delivers clearer acquisition insights and creates stronger alignment across the organization.”
This partnership is part of a bigger trend happening across credit unions right now. Organizations are tired of fragmented systems that don’t communicate, and they’re investing in unified operating models that actually improve how teams work together and how members experience the credit union.
Kathryn Lagerstedt, SVP Strategic Engagement at NorthCountry Federal Credit Union, put it plainly: “NorthCountry is always looking for ways to better connect our teams, our data, and the member experience. Nook stands out because they understand both the power of HubSpot and the realities of how credit unions operate. Their ability to pair platform expertise with a credit-union-specific approach to data integration made them the right partner to help us build a stronger foundation for more coordinated engagement and long-term growth.”
Translation? NorthCountry wanted a partner who speaks credit union, not just CRM. And they found one that can build the infrastructure to support smarter member engagement without compromising on security or creating more headaches down the road.
