If you’ve been keeping tabs on the credit union lending tech space (and who hasn’t?), here’s your latest executive musical chairs update: Origence just announced a fresh lineup for its Board of Directors, complete with reelections, new faces, and a well-deserved retirement send-off.
First up, the returning champions. Sandra Sagehorn-Elliott, who leads Vantage West Credit Union, and Bob McKay from Together Credit Union both secured their spots for another term. Meanwhile, Karen Roch of Credit Union West graduated from associate director to full board member—think of it as getting called up from the minor leagues after proving you’ve got what it takes since 2023.
Meet Your New Board Officers
The board also elected fresh leadership to guide the ship. Bob McKay snagged the chairperson role, while Steph Sherrodd (president and CEO of Sunward Federal Credit Union) stepped into the vice chair position. Rounding out the officer trio is Linda Armyn from FourLeaf Federal Credit Union, who’ll handle secretary and treasurer duties.
“I’m honored to welcome our new board members and officers, and grateful to Ron Neumann for the leadership he brought to this board over the past four years,” said Tony Boutelle, Origence’s president and CEO. “The credit union leaders serving on this board bring invaluable perspective to the work we do, and I’m confident they’ll help us continue delivering solutions that make a real difference for credit unions and their members.”

A Fond Farewell
Every changing of the guard comes with a bittersweet goodbye. The board took time to recognize Ron Neumann, who’s been serving since September 2022 while leading Oregon Community Credit Union. With his retirement from the credit union on the horizon, Neumann’s board tenure wraps up on April 30, 2026. Here’s to a job well done and a retirement well earned.
