Seven Promotions Announced at One CU; TFCU Recognizes Financial Advisor’s Impact as a Mentor

Otis Federal Credit Union announced significant changes to its leadership, and Tucson Federal Credit Union recognized their Financial Advisor for her impact in her Financial Management class.

New Hires

  • World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) is pleased to announce Paul Andrews as its new Vice President of International Advocacy—putting him in charge of advocating on behalf of the global credit union and financial cooperative movement at the international level. Andrews brings to WOCCU a vast amount of experience in financial regulations. He’s previously worked for the:

    • CFA Institute, where he oversaw its research, advocacy and standards functions.

    • International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), where he revamped the organization’s strategic direction and oversaw the development of numerous global standards, recommendations and principles.

    • Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where he directed international engagements and worked closely with key regulators and regulatory bodies worldwide, including IOSCO.

    • U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where he worked in the Division of Market Regulation and the Office of the General Counsel.

Recognitions

  • OTIS Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that Supervisory Committee Chair Sam Howes achieved his Certified Credit Union Supervisory Committee Member (CCUSC) designation through America’s Credit Unions. This certification provides Howes with extensive knowledge of the financial objectives and requirements related to his role.

  • Tucson Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is proud to celebrate Financial Advisor Lisa Atkinson, who has been with TFCU for 29 years and a financial coach for over 21 years, and her contributions to the Interfaith Community Services (ICS) Bridges Financial Management Class. As a presenter in the Bridges course, Lisa focuses on critical topics such as debt management, creating spending plans, and building emergency funds. Her straightforward and relatable approach makes these complex subjects accessible and actionable for participants from all walks of life. Beyond the classroom, Lisa offers individualized support, working with participants to create customized financial plans and identify opportunities to save money.

Promotions

  • Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) announced that Stephanie Smith has been moved into the role of Branch Manager at the Mound Rd. location. Smith will oversee the staff and daily tasks of the Mound Rd. branch and ensure the branch meets the needs of our members.

  • OTIS Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the recent promotion of seven staff members:

    • Kariss Carlton has been promoted to Senior Loan Officer. Kariss is well known for putting members first, her community focus, and providing strong support to the Credit Union’s lending department.

    • Craig DeRosby works behind the scenes overseeing Information Security and Information Technology, helping ensure the accuracy and security of member information. In recognition of his dedication and steadfast guidance, he has been promoted to Director of IS & IT, where he also manages custom programming for the Credit Union.

    • Darcie Hunt joined OTIS in June of 2024 and has made a positive impression on members, her fellow peers, and management since joining the Credit Union. She has been promoted to Member Experience Representative and helps set the tone of the member experience.

    • Darice Roy has served in a variety of roles over the years with a strong dedication and commitment to the Credit Union movement. She is actively involved with community events, and also Co-Chairs the OTIS Ending Hunger committee. She has been promoted to Executive Vice President, where she will help set the strategic vision of the Credit Union.

    • Ryan Souther has been promoted to Director of Digital Strategy & Facilities. He is well known by membership and has been a great asset to the Credit Union and community, serving as Co-Chair of the OTIS Ending Hunger committee and on the local Special Olympics board. Ryan provides support in many areas, and in this expanded role will provide critical vision for digital strategy and facilities.

    • Jamie Turcotte has consistently shown herself to be a great leader for OTIS and the Lending Department. In recognition of her dedication to the Credit Union and her fellow colleagues, she has been promoted to Vice President of Lending, where she will be responsible for key Lending initiatives, and strategy.

    • Jennifer Weston has been promoted to Executive Administrative Assistant, recognizing a strong work ethic and commitment to the Credit Union. She is well known for her refreshing and positive demeanor, dedication, wealth of knowledge, and helping ensure various employee initiatives run smoothly.

Appointments

  • Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) in Rochester, NH, announces Mortgage Origination Manager Eric Palmer has been selected for New Hampshire Housing’s Homeownership Fellows Program and Lending Advisory Committee. “It is our pleasure to congratulate Eric Palmer upon his acceptance into this prestigious program,” said HRCU President and CEO Brian Hughes. “The knowledge gained from this unique experience will allow Eric, as part of the larger HRCU team, to deliver our members the highest quality of service and expertise possible.”

  • UMassFive College Federal Credit Union (UMassFive) recently announced the addition of Peter Rosskothen to its Board of Directors. A seasoned business professional, Rosskothen brings over 35 years of business experience to UMassFive. Peter first became involved with the Credit Union through utilizing its business banking products and services five years ago. With an educational background in finance from The Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) and studies in Hotel & Restaurant Management from UMass Amherst, Rosskothen has demonstrated a wide array of skills in organizational finance, budgeting, branding, marketing, strategic planning, and community relations.
