Veridian CU Plants Roots, Eyes Two More MN Locations

Veridian Credit Union‘s shiny first standalone Minnesota branch is officially open for business.

And if that wasn’t enough to get excited about, they’re already planning their next moves with two more locations coming to Maple Grove and Lakeville.

The Eden Prairie spot is a serious upgrade from Veridian’s previous digs in the area. We’re talking 2,890 square feet of actual member-facing space (the old office? That’s now behind-the-scenes territory for support staff). The new branch comes complete with a drive-up lane and a 24-hour ATM because, let’s be honest, financial emergencies don’t always happen during banker’s hours.

“We’ve received such a warm welcome in Eden Prairie and have enjoyed becoming part of this community,” said Branch Manager Carina Vandenakker. “We’re excited to return that hospitality to new and existing members in a more convenient and accommodating space.”

Two More Branches on the Horizon

Veridian isn’t stopping at Eden Prairie. Construction will kick off soon at 11801 Arbor Lakes Parkway in Maple Grove, with doors expected to open in late 2026. Then comes Lakeville at 17942 Cedar Avenue, slated for summer 2027. Both locations will clock in at 3,100 square feet with three-lane drive-ups and those essential 24-hour ATMs.

Tom Fleck, Veridian’s Twin Cities Regional Manager, isn’t hiding his enthusiasm about the expansion. “These new branches will help us expand access to simple, helpful and in-person financial services that are designed in members’ best interests,” he said. “It’s an exciting time of growth, and we’re eager to become part of these communities.”

Expanding While Racking Up Awards

Here’s the thing about Veridian—they’re not just growing fast, they’re doing it well. The accolades are piling up faster than leaves in a Minnesota autumn. Forbes crowned them the #1 “Best-in-State Credit Union” in both Iowa and Nebraska for the second consecutive year. Freddie Mac handed them a 2026 Hope Possible RISE Award for their speed-demon growth in Home Possible Mortgages, which help make homeownership actually affordable for low-income borrowers. And Callahan & Associates ranked them third nationally among all U.S. credit unions for returning value to members in Q1 2026.

Not too shabby for a credit union in expansion mode.

Giving Back to Eden Prairie

The Eden Prairie team celebrated their new branch the right way—by spreading some goodness around the community. They kicked off random acts of kindness and donated $2,500 each to Move Forward and Onward Eden Prairie, two local nonprofits supporting at-risk youth and young adults. Because nothing says “welcome to the neighborhood” quite like actually helping your neighbors.

If you want to check out the new space yourself, mark your calendar for the grand opening celebration running August 3-7. Expect daily gifts, prizes, and refreshments—basically all the good stuff that makes a proper grand opening worth attending.
