Centra Credit Union announced the promotion of three Team Members to their executive team and one to their senior leadership team, reinforcing Centra’s strategic focus and commitment to serving their Members, Team Members, and the Communities they serve.
Joining the executive team is Karl Kissinger as Chief Growth Officer, Carl Fry as Chief Financial Officer, and Christy Lee as Senior Vice President of Retail Delivery. They join Swami Seetharaman, Chief Experience Officer, and Brad Davis, President and CEO. Additionally, Jonas Howell has been named Senior Vice President of Commercial Delivery.
“I’m pleased to welcome the new members of Centra’s leadership team,” Centra President and CEO Brad Davis said. “Each Team Member brings unique experience and expertise to their role, and I’m confident that they’ll play an integral part in further shaping Centra’s mission, vision, and overall strategic direction.”
Kissinger has more than 30 years of financial services experience, including 22 years in commercial banking. During his 14 years at Centra, he has led the commercial banking line of business with a focus on strategic growth, portfolio management, operational excellence and risk management. His background includes private banking, mortgage lending, retail banking and consumer lending. Kissinger holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from the Miller College of Business at Ball State University and completed executive leadership development with honors at the University of Wisconsin School of Business. Outside of work, he serves on the Board of Directors at Su Casa and its Finance Committee and has held a variety of roles with United Way, Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary Club of Columbus.
Fry joined Centra in 2014 and has spent his career in the banking industry, serving in a variety of roles within leadership and lending. He’s an advocate for Centra’s mission-based culture and serves on the boards of the Columbus Regional Health Foundation and the Shared Branching Centers of Indiana and Illinois. Fry studied finance at Xavier University, earned an MBA in accounting from the University of Southern Indiana, and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Leadership Bartholomew County and the Credit Union Executive Society (CUES) CEO Institute.
Lee joined Centra in 2008 and has held several leadership roles across retail and operations. In her current role, she oversees retail branch delivery, the contact center, ITM center, and Member operations, with a focus on operational excellence and consistent Member experiences. Lee holds the Certified Credit Executive and Credit Union Executive designations, is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana and completed the Leadership Southern Indiana program. Lee is an active participant within her community and supports multiple nonprofit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the United Way. She also serves as the President on the Board of Friends of Open Door Youth Services in New Albany.
Howell brings more than 20 years of experience across commercial banking, retail banking and wealth management. He has spent the past 12 years on Centra’s commercial banking team, most recently serving as Vice President Commercial Sales Manager. He brings a variety of skills to his new role including revenue growth, client relationship management, operational efficiency and managing high-performing sales teams. Howell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Indiana University and has earned the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation from the University of Wisconsin School of Business. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Howell remains actively engaged in multiple nonprofit organizations, reflecting his commitment to community service.
