It’s 9:40 on a Tuesday night. You’re an EPB retiree trying to find the current auto loan rate, and you can’t remember where the mobile banking login lives. You don’t want a scavenger hunt. You want the answer, and you want to go to bed.
That’s the experience EPB Employees Credit Union (EPBECU) set out to improve with a brand-new website, built in partnership with OMNICOMMANDER, a digital marketing agency that focuses on banks and credit unions.
The site is now live. It gives members one place to browse accounts, loans, rates, and services. It also pulls in online and mobile banking access, membership information, financial calculators, and other resources. Think of it as a well-organized kitchen: when everything has a labeled spot, nobody has to open six drawers to find the whisk.
The credit union has a long history behind it. Employees of the Electric Power Board of Chattanooga founded it in 1954 with 431 charter members, and it has kept a “people helping people” approach ever since. Today it serves employees, retirees, and eligible family members of EPB, Tennessee American Water, and BASF Chattanooga.
That personal touch was the whole point of the redesign. “EPB Employees Credit Union has a long history of serving its members with a personal touch, and that’s what we wanted the website to reflect,” said Eric Isham, Founder and CEO of OMNICOMMANDER. He added that Brian Trotter and his team were wonderful partners, and that he’s proud of the work that went into the final product.
Trotter, who is CEO of EPBECU, returned the compliment. He called the experience “professional, positive, and enjoyable” from the first conversation to the finish line. He also singled out the team’s patience, responsiveness, and attention to detail, along with their willingness to work through the credit union’s questions, suggestions, and revisions.
“The finished website exceeded our expectations, and we’re excited about the improved online experience we’re now able to offer our members,” Trotter said. He went on to recommend OMNICOMMANDER to any credit union wanting a knowledgeable, professional, and personable team to strengthen its digital presence.
OMNICOMMANDER says this fits how it approaches financial institution sites: not as digital brochures, but as tools that combine strategy, design, and clear presentation of products and resources. The goal is a site that shows who a credit union is and makes it easier for members to reach the services they need.
For EPBECU members, that means less hunting and more doing. Whether you’re checking rates, running a loan calculator, or logging in to bank on your phone, the new site is built to get you there quickly, and with the same friendly feel you’d expect from the folks at the branch.
