LAFCU announced two new additions to its team, and an executive from First Alliance Credit Union has earned the Certified Credit Union Business Lending Professional designation for completing the three-year America’s Credit Unions Business Lending Certification School .
New Hires:
- LAFCU has hired LaTora Walker as senior vice president of human resources and Terri May as director of corporate improvement. LaTora Walker brings more than 20 years of progressive human resources leadership experience to the credit union. In her new role, she oversees LAFCU’s human resources operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance and union relations. Terri May joins LAFCU as director of corporate improvement, where she oversees enterprise risk management, governance, policy and procedure management, and operational service delivery. She brings nearly 30 years of banking and operational leadership experience. Most recently, May served as vice president and regional operations manager team manager at Comerica Bank, where she led a team supporting operational excellence across 70 banking centers in west and central Michigan.
- Constant AI has named Kristin Evans Vice President of Marketing. Evans joins Constant AI from Curql Collective, where she served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, and led the investor marketing and pipeline strategy behind a $360 million fundraise from credit union investors, the largest in CU history.
- SRM announced that Jeffrey Bray has joined the firm as Technology Practice Leader. As financial institutions look to accelerate change under mounting cost, competitive, and regulatory pressures, the move deepens SRM’s investment in one of the strategic areas that clients are prioritizing and investing in. As Technology Practice Leader, Bray will set the practice’s growth strategy and consult across engagements with bank and credit union executives navigating technology road maps, core conversions, digital transformation, cloud migration, AI adoption, and vendor consolidation.

- First Alliance Credit Union is proud to recognize Danielle Sommerfeldt, CUDE, AVP of Business Development & Lending, for completing the three-year America’s Credit Unions Business Lending Certification School and earning the Certified Credit Union Business Lending Professional (CBLP)™ designation. Offered through America’s Credit Unions in partnership with the UW–Madison School of Business, the program provides advanced training in commercial and business lending, including credit analysis, regulatory knowledge, and best practices for serving businesses effectively.
