Mahalo Banking Hits 17 Corelation Conversions in 2026, With Four More Set to Launch

“Everything was delivered on time and on budget, exactly as promised.” That’s how Eric Seckel, Senior Vice President of Operations at Firelands Federal Credit Union, described his experience moving to Mahalo Banking’s Thoughtful BankingĀ® platform. It’s also a fair summary of why Mahalo’s year is going so well.

The online and mobile banking provider has completed 17 credit union conversions in 2026 as part of its partnership with Corelation, and four more launches are on the calendar before year-end. That would bring the total to 21. Over the past three years, Mahalo has become one of Corelation’s fastest-growing digital banking partners, and its footprint across the KeyStone ecosystem keeps widening.

As a Corelation Preferred Partner, Mahalo works with credit unions adopting KeyStone, Corelation’s core platform. Some are new to the core, and others already run on it. Mahalo’s particular strength is coordinating core and digital banking conversions that happen at the same time, which keeps the technology, the implementation teams, and the project schedule moving in step. Its Corelation clients range from $80 million to more than $5 billion in assets, and its tight integration with KeyStone lets them offer a full digital experience while using the core’s capabilities to the fullest.

Corelation’s Ron Yeshulas, Director of Business Development, says the relationship runs deeper than the tech. “Mahalo’s team understands what credit unions need during a core conversion and has a clear commitment to making each KeyStone transition a success,” he said. He pointed to closely aligned cultures, shared values, and a willingness to do whatever it takes for credit unions and their members. The two teams communicate openly and work side by side. “This alignment goes beyond technology,” Yeshulas said. “It reflects a genuine partnership focused on doing what is right for our credit unions and the members they serve.”

Firelands and North Coast Credit Union are two of the 2026 launches. Both credited Mahalo’s implementation expertise, its understanding of credit unions, and its strong connectivity with Corelation. Mahalo attributes its record of hitting committed conversion dates to a disciplined implementation methodology, even when the core and digital banking switches happen together.

Seckel said Mahalo took a transparent approach, with clear timelines, consistent communication, and helpful guidance. Regular updates arrived as milestones were completed, and the conversion ended in a smooth transition and a better experience for members.

A.C. Griffith, CEO of North Coast Credit Union, called the process seamless. Mahalo’s knowledge of KeyStone and of how the two platforms fit together left his team feeling prepared, he said. The company answered every question and even supported a last-minute change to keep the launch on track. “It was truly a collaborative effort,” Griffith said.

Jim Stickley, CEO of Mahalo Banking, knows what credit unions are up against. “Core conversions are among the most challenging projects a credit union can undertake, and the last thing they need is to worry about their digital banking provider,” he said. Seventeen conversions in a year is an accomplishment, he added, but what he’s proudest of is that Mahalo keeps its commitments. When it names a go-live date, credit unions can count on it.
