The Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) presented the Outstanding Credit Union Professional of the Year at a celebration held during the MnCUN ACCELERATE 25 Conference on April 22 at the Mystic Lake Center in Prior Lake, Minn.
The 2025 Outstanding Director of the Year is Randy Willert, President & CEO of Two Harbors Federal Credit Union.
The Outstanding Professional of the Year is given to a remarkable person who truly stands behind the “people helping people” credit union philosophy.
In 2012, Two Harbors Federal Credit Union (THFCU) was struggling in nearly every way: poor financial performance, sub-par products and services, low staff morale, and almost no visibility in the community. Calling on nearly 30 years of credit union experience, culled from some of Minnesota’s most respected industry leaders, Randy transformed THFCU into a thriving credit union.
“MnCUN is pleased to honor Randy Willert for his contributions to the Minnesota credit union movement and his exceptional leadership,” said MnCUN President & CEO Mara Humphrey.
After receiving his award, Randy reflected on the work credit unions do, saying: “People helping people is not just a slogan — its really what we do.”
