Nuuvia Adds Morales and Curtis to Board, Sharpen Lifecycle Banking Push

Nuuvia, the lifecycle banking platform built for community banks and credit unions, has named Ben Morales and Stephanie Curtis to its Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) Board of Directors.

Both are seasoned credit union and fintech leaders with deep experience in digital banking, member experience, operations, payments, cybersecurity and innovation. Their job: help steer Nuuvia’s strategy as it grows and helps financial institutions win, keep and expand account holders, all while holding on to their deposits, revenue, data and customer relationships.

Why Nuuvia Needs a Good Navigator

Think of growing a platform like driving cross-country. The car matters, but so does having someone in the passenger seat who has driven the route before and knows which exits to skip. That’s the role these two are stepping into.

Ben Morales: 35 Years of Tech and Trust

Morales brings three and a half decades across credit unions, fintech, digital banking, payments, cybersecurity, compliance and product innovation. He spent two decades leading technology and operations at Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU), a $4 billion institution with 300,000 members. There, he helped strengthen cybersecurity, advance fraud analytics and push member-focused innovation.

Today he’s an Operating Advisor with Demopolis Equity Partners, where he supports Nuuvia’s lifecycle banking strategy, product development, M&A and go-to-market work. He also advises fintech and AI companies on growth, partnerships and innovation, including Runline AI.

“Throughout my professional life, I have been passionate about helping credit unions navigate technology transformation and preserve their commitment to serving members,” Morales said. “Nuuvia addresses one of the industry’s greatest opportunities: building meaningful relationships earlier in life and strengthening them through every stage of the financial journey. They have an outstanding team, a compelling platform, and a clear growth strategy. I am honored to join the CUSO board and help Nuuvia increase its impact across the financial industry.”

Stephanie Curtis: The Member Experience Specialist

Curtis is Chief Member Experience Officer at VyStar Credit Union, where she leads work on member engagement, service delivery and enterprise-wide experience strategy. She has more than a decade in financial services, with expertise in operations, product innovation, risk management, lending strategy and fraud prevention. In other words, she knows how to balance growth with security.

Earlier, she was VP of Deposit and Loan Operations at Citizens State Bank, overseeing lending operations, the contact center, and digital and branch operations.

“Nuuvia is addressing one of the most important challenges facing community financial institutions today: creating long-term relationships with the next generation of account holders and teaching them responsible banking habits,” Curtis said. “The company’s lifecycle banking, combined with its commitment to helping community financial institutions retain ownership of their customer relationships, creates a powerful opportunity for growth. Being part of Nuuvia’s CUSO board will be an opportunity for me to share my industry experience with its continued expansion.”

What Nuuvia’s Leadership Says

CEO Marcell King pointed to Morales’s record of helping credit unions innovate with real member outcomes in mind. “His experience leading the overall technology and security initiatives at one of the nation’s most respected credit unions, WSECU, combined with his success building and scaling a fintech company, gives him a unique perspective that will be invaluable as Nuuvia expands its lifecycle banking platform and continues working with financial institutions to strengthen relationships across all generations.”

Of Curtis, King said: “Stephanie has spent her career helping financial institutions deliver exceptional member experiences while building operational excellence behind the scenes. Her expertise in lending, operations, innovation, and member engagement aligns perfectly with Nuuvia’s mission to help community financial institutions create lifelong relationships with account holders and families. As we continue expanding our banking platform her perspective will be incredibly valuable.”

The Platform in Brief

Nuuvia helps financial institutions reach Gen Z, Gen Alpha and their families with modern, family-focused digital banking that encourages financial wellness, strengthens household ties and builds loyalty. Institutions keep the deposits, interchange revenue, customer data and engagement, capturing the full value of multigenerational relationships.
