Several Credit Unions Announced New Hires/Promotions; Royal Credit Union Names New Young Professional Credit Union Activists

Several credit unions, including LAFCU and United Federal Credit Union announced new additions and promotions within their organizations, and Royal Credit Union named two new young professional credit union activists.

New Hires:

  • Royal Credit Union (Royal) announces Frank Piechorowski as Software Engineering Manager. In this role, Piechorowski is responsible for building and maintaining a high performing team of Software Developers. He will oversee the improvement of existing software as well as assist in the development of future systems that will benefit both Royal team members and Members. 
  • LAFCU has announced the addition of two employees to its human resources and marketing departments: Tracy Strudwick as human resources generalist and Alicea Heady as digital and graphic designer.
  • Candescent announced that John Garvey has been named Chief Operating Officer to execute upon the company’s strategic priorities and lead the operations team, which is dedicated to delivering elevated experiences to Candescent’s 1,300 bank and credit union customers. In addition, Peter Gray has been appointed Vice President of Professional Services and Delivery, further supporting the company’s operational and customer success.
  • United Federal Credit Union (United) is pleased to announce that Malaythong “Molly” Phan has joined the team as Branch Manager at the Holland North location. In her new role, Phan will be responsible for maintaining the performance of the branch, overseeing assets, and providing leadership and supervision to her team.
  • United Federal Credit Union (United) has appointed Nichole Dubs to Commercial Loan Officer in North Carolina. Dubs will be based at United’s branch at 101 Jack Street in Hendersonville. As the Commercial Loan Officer, Dubs will be responsible for providing quality business lending expertise through financial counseling and product awareness to credit union members regarding their business financing needs. She will also generate investment quality business loans by taking loan applications in support of loan growth objectives.

Recognitions:

  • Royal Credit Union (Royal) has named Noel Knickelbien and Kendall Geving as the new Royal Credit Union Young Professional Credit Union Activists (YP CU Activists). Royal launched the YP CU Activist program in 2019 to strengthen the credit union movement and elevate the voice of young professionals in advocacy efforts.
  • Addition Financial Credit Union is proud to announce that President and CEO Kevin Miller has been named one of the 2025 Most Influential Leaders by the Orlando Business Journal. This annual recognition honors exceptional leaders across Central Florida who not only drive business success but also contribute significantly to their communities.

Promotions:

  • First Capital Federal Credit Union is pleased to promote eight team members!
    • Heather Dubbs has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Consumer Lending having most recently served as Contact Center Manager.
    • Bobbie Ford will move into a brand-new position as Assistant Vice President of Risk Management and Compliance.
    • Joy Martin is being promoted to Assistant Vice President of Member Services, having most recently served as Branch Manager of our West York Office. She will be replacing Bobbie Ford.
    • Kimberly Rager has been promoted to Contact Center Manager having most recently served as a Floating Universal Member Service Specialist
    • Dana Eckman has been promoted to Branch Manager at our Manchester Office from her role as Member Service Representative Supervisor
    • Lori Miller has moved from Branch Manager at our Manchester Office to Branch Manager at our East York Office
    • Abby Robles has been promoted to Member Service Officer having most recently served as Member Service Representative
    • Alexis Sipe has moved from Senior Member Service Representative to Member Service Representative Supervisor
    • Debbie Foster has transitioned from Accounting Specialist to Debit Card Administrator.
  • Corporate Central is proud to announce the promotion of Kyle Gutierrez to Systems Engineer – Automation & Optimization. In this elevated role, Gutierrez will lead strategic initiatives focused on enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining internal processes, and advancing automation efforts throughout the organization.
  • People’s Credit Union announced the appointment of Cassandra Anderson as Head of Middletown Branch. Reporting to Terri Raymond, Head of Retail, Ms. Anderson will be responsible for the successful operation, leadership, and daily oversight of the credit union’s Middletown branch. In her new role, she will drive new member development while ensuring the delivery of an exceptional member experience by empowering the branch team through effective coaching, guidance, and mentorship.
