Three Credit Unions Announce New Hires; Eglin FCU Recognizes Payment Systems Reconciliation Specialist

Three credit unions, including Kitsap Credit Union and Land of Lincoln Credit Union, announced new additions to their teams, and Eglin Federal Credit Union recognized one of its team members for her many years of service.

New Hires:

  • Kitsap Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Pendergist as its new Senior Vice President of Credit and Lending. Pendergist brings over 25 years of experience in financial services, with a proven track record in driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and innovative lending solutions. In his new role, Pendergist will oversee all aspects of credit and lending at Kitsap Credit Union, including consumer, real estate, and commercial lending. His leadership will be pivotal in advancing the credit union’s strategic initiatives, enhancing the member experience, and expanding lending capabilities across the region.
  • Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) announced that Desiree Behl has been hired as the new Branch Manager of the Effingham South branch. Behl will oversee the sales and operations of the Effingham South branch, as well as serving as a Loan Officer. Over the last 25 years, Desiree has gained experience in the financial industry as an Administrative Assistant in wealth management, Loan Deposit Specialist, and a Mortgage Underwriter. Most recently, Desiree was employed as Branch Manager for United Fidelity Bank in Shelbyville, IL.
  • Stephanie O’Neal, a three-decade financial services industry veteran, has been named Assistant Vice President of Collections at Greater Texas|Aggieland Credit Union. In her new role, she focuses on loss mitigation, asset recovery, and risk management for the credit union. She will also continue to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work to identify areas for process improvement and implementation of new technologies to streamline the collection process.

  • Eglin Federal Credit Union is proud to celebrate the 30-year work anniversary of Belinda Borough, a valued and respected team member whose career has been marked by dedication, reliability and exceptional service. SVP/Chief Payments Officer Dawn Oravetz shared, “It’s rare to find someone as dependable, thoughtful, and genuinely dedicated as Belinda. For 30 years, she has been a cornerstone of the Credit Union—always ready to help, always doing her best, and always making a difference. Known for her kindness, professionalism, and steady presence, Belinda has made a lasting impact across departments and among colleagues. We are very fortunate to have her as part of our Credit Union family.”
