Two credit unions, including Greylock Federal Credit Union, announced new additions to their teams, and the Dakota Credit Union Association announced this year’s Hall of Fame inductees and individual award winners.
New Hires:
- Greylock Federal Credit Union has announced the hiring of Vice President, Consumer Lending, John Rose. Rose will provide strategic leadership and management of all consumer loan products and lending operations at Greylock, including direct and indirect auto lending, credit cards and personal loans.
- Reliant Credit Union is pleased to announce the hiring of Jessica Garbe as Human Resources Operations Manager. Ms. Garbe most recently served as Human Resources Manager at Baxter International. In her new role, Ms. Garbe is responsible for overseeing employee relations, benefits, and compensation functions. She will act as a trusted advisor to both employees and leadership, fostering a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.

- Lake Area Mortgage – A Division of Royal Credit Union is proud to announce that four team members have been recognized as Top Producing Loan Officers by Minnesota Housing for their homeownership program loan production in 2025. Michelle Robinson, Derek Lodermeier, Marco Rodiles, and Stephanie Oyen were among the 100 loan officers across the state recognized for their dedication to helping homebuyers achieve their dream of homeownership through the Minnesota Housing program.
- Montana’s Credit Unions proudly recognized outstanding leaders from across the credit union movement during its annual Power Up conference, celebrating individuals who are helping ignite the future of the industry through leadership, innovation, and service.
- Professional of the Year: Eddie Black, Vocal CU – With a career spanning more than three decades, Eddie Black was recognized for his sustained leadership, strategic vision, and ability to drive lasting change. From leading organizational turnarounds to strengthening partnerships at the state and national level, his career reflects a deep commitment to advancing both the credit union movement and the communities it serves.
- Young Professional of the Year: Micah Bevans, Montana CU – Micah Bevans earned recognition as an emerging leader making an immediate impact. In just six years, Bevans has demonstrated remarkable growth — advancing through multiple roles, driving process improvements, and embracing continuous learning. Their forward-thinking approach and dedication to innovation exemplify the next generation of credit union leadership.
- Mitch Reed Volunteer of the Year: Con Malee, Southwest Montana Community FCU – Con Malee was honored for more than a decade of exceptional volunteer service. A collaborative and thoughtful leader, Malee has played a key role in guiding his credit union through growth and change while consistently advocating for strong governance and community impact. His dedication reflects the vital role volunteer leaders play in shaping the credit union difference.
- Philosophy in Action Award: Brandon Scala, Valley CU – Brandon Scala received one of MCU’s most meaningful honors for consistently turning values into action. Through leadership grounded in integrity, mentorship, and community partnership, Scala has championed initiatives that expand access to education and opportunity while inspiring others to lead with purpose.
- The Dakota Credit Union Association (DakCU) proudly inducted two exceptional leaders, Pat Murtha and Karla Clark, into the Dakota Credit Union Hall of Fame during the 2026 DakCU Annual Summit, May 12-14. The Hall of Fame honor represents a lifetime achievement recognition and is the most prestigious award presented by DakCU, recognizing individuals whose careers have made a lasting impact on the credit union movement across the Dakotas.
- During the Dakota Credit Union Association awards banquet that was recently held at The Box, Box Elder, SD. Dakota credit union professionals were recognized for their outstanding individual achievements.
- Sarah Senska, Chief Strategy Officer, Dakotaland Federal Credit Union, Huron, SD received the Professional of the Year Award. This prestigious award honors one credit union professional each year from North or South Dakota for their contributions to advance the credit union movement in their state and the nation by helping to craft an environment that allows credit unions to grow and prosper, to better serve their members.
- Kylee Lemieux, Marketing Manager, North Star Community Credit Union, Maddock, ND received the Emerging Leader of the Year Award. This award recognizes one credit union employee each year from North or South Dakota showing proven dedication and enthusiasm for the credit union movement by executing the credit union mission and guiding in new directions that enhance the overall vision of their organization.
- Laura Prosser, Board Member at Northern Hills Federal Credit Union, Sturgis, SD was named Volunteer of the Year. This award goes to one volunteer from North or South Dakota each year that has selflessly contributed time, effort, and talent to the development of the credit union movement in their state. Volunteers are an integral part of the credit union movement, and their contributions resonate throughout the credit union community by illuminating the most important part of the credit union structure.
- Briana Thompson, Financial Investigator at SELCO Community Credit Union, was recently honored with the Eugene Police Department’s Partnership Award. EPD’s Partnership Award is presented to individuals or organizations who provide meaningful support to the department’s mission through community-oriented policing, prevention, education, and collaboration. Thompson has worked alongside EPD to provide “precise, timely financial insights” that they’ve used to combat financial crimes, strengthen investigations, and support community-focused policing, according to the Eugene Police Department.
- Brandi Ward, Senior Market Development Manager at United Federal Credit Union (United), was recognized as a 2026 Woman of Achievement by Girls on the Run Sierras during the Nevada Women’s Fund Salute to Women of Achievement Luncheon, held May 21, 2026. The Salute to Women of Achievement is a signature event hosted by Nevada Women’s Fund that celebrates women across the region for their dedication, leadership, and meaningful contributions to their workplaces, families, and communities.

- PenFed Credit Union announced William “Bill” Heyer has been promoted to General Counsel effective immediately. As General Counsel, Bill is responsible for overseeing all legal risks, including corporate governance, compliance, litigation, and contract negotiation for the credit union, as well as coordination, oversight, and management of retained counsel.
